Striving for Perfection

Experience

As co-owner of Crawshaw Design, I bring more than 20 years of experience in strategic marketing, graphic design, web design and development, and search engine optimization. Throughout my career, I have worked with organizations ranging from global corporations to regional businesses and nonprofits, helping them communicate more effectively through thoughtful strategy, strong design, and carefully applied technology.

My clients have included Intel, Raytheon, Chevron, Wells Fargo, Conservation Corps North Bay, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, where I contributed as a member of an international web development team.

Recent projects include websites for Ferrigno Real Estate, a major private real estate and investment firm in San Francisco, and Heritage Systems, Inc., an important provider of innovative water-management solutions throughout Wine Country and beyond.

For more than fifteen years, I have also guided the ongoing evolution of the Jim Marshall Photography LLC brand and website, helping preserve and present the extraordinary legacy of photographer Jim Marshall.

Innovation

Today, much of my work explores how artificial intelligence can thoughtfully extend the capabilities of open-source platforms such as Drupal and WordPress. I believe AI is at its best when it amplifies human creativity, strengthens communication, improves workflows, and allows experienced professionals to deliver even greater value to their clients.

In early 2020, I founded Cloud Service, a web-hosting company created to offer an exceptional and honest alternative to large hosting providers. Through its e-commerce platform, Cloud Service delivers hosting, professional email, security products, and web-based solutions backed by personal service and by establishing enduring client relationships.

Extending the Brand

My work also extends beyond the digital world to include color consultation, commercial display design and consultation, and interior design consultation. I enjoy helping clients create environments that are as thoughtful and purposeful as their brands because every space tells a story, and every detail contributes to the experience.

Community

Community service has always been an important part of my professional life. In 2009, I co-founded the Marin Volunteer League, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting other nonprofits through fundraising initiatives, and served as its Executive Director for more than four years. I have also served on the boards of several local nonprofit organizations.

Lifelong Learning

My academic background includes a degree from Binghamton University with studies in biology, chemistry, and genetics, followed by postgraduate work in computer science at UC Berkeley. I also earned a Series 6 securities license. Those seemingly diverse disciplines have given me a systems-oriented perspective that continues to influence the way I approach design, technology, and business.

Throughout my career, I have pursued continuing education to advance my technical skills and soft skills to better serve my clients and prepare for shifting industry changes,

Across every project, my goal remains the same: to combine thoughtful strategy, strong design, and carefully applied technology to help organizations tell their stories more effectively.

The tools continue to evolve.
